Meditation Cushions.

A firm support is beneficial in sitting meditation practice. Our traditional style zafu and crescent-shaped Bean zafu can be used for cross-legged sitting styles, as well as for support in kneeling postures. Both styles of zafus are available with kapok or hull fills. Wood meditation benches provide a good alternative for cushion-sitting. Our kapok or cotton zabuton mats make a comfortable base under the zafus and benches, and two large zabutonss can be put together to make a sleeping mat.
 

Yoga Products.

Our large kapok-filled yoga bolsters are essential for many yoga postures and practical as a handsome soft furnishing in interior design as well. The all-cotton yoga mat provides good cushioning for floor. This versatile, portable mat can be used as a sleeping mat at retreats alone or to cover the foam mattresses often provided. Our 6’ cotton yoga straps are available in all of our cotton duck colours and have metal d-ring closures. Custom lengths are available upon request.
 

Small Supports.

Pema Design has several small support pillows with an emphasis on comfort and extra support in meditation and yoga practices, everyday healthy living and interior design. Kapok and hull fills are available in a variety of sizes and shapes.
 

Whole Grain Warmers.

Pema Design's microwavable whole grain neck warmer and wrap, and our special little warmable teddy bear helps relieve aches and pains. All are comforting sources of warmth for those long winter nights. The flax seed eye pillow, traditional in yoga practice, is essential for full-body relaxing.
 

Buckwheat Pillows.

Buckwheat hull and millet hull pillows are recognized as an environmentally friendly and orthopedically healthy sleep support. They are considered hypo-allergenic and will not attract dust mites. They are recommended by chiropractors, massage therapists and physiotherapists to aid in the relief of neck and back pain, headaches, muscle tension and sleeplessness.
 

Pet Beds.

We now design and manufacture floor cushion beds for dogs and cats filled with organic buckwheat hulls which provide excellent orthopedic support. Many customers find the pet beds good floor lounging cushions for themselves as well.
