The structure of the hulls creates a fluid-like movement of the fill when weight is applied. Gently shaped by your hand and pressed by your head, the hulls in the pillow achieve an equilibrium and remain in place. Thus, your muscles can be relaxing, rather than working to retain a comfortable shape as is the case with other pillow fills.

After a few years of use, the hulls will break down further and lose a bit of their loft. At this point, new hulls can be added to the pillow to extend its life for many more years.
